Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They apply to all purchases (Online, Phone, or In-Person) of Electronic Security Products and Installation Services from Immobiliser Fit Ltd.
1. Interpretation and Contract Formation
The Supplier: Immobiliser Fit Ltd (email: sales@immobiliserfit.co.uk; tel: 0208 212 7393).
The Customer: Any person or organization purchasing Goods or Services. The Customer confirms they have the authority to bind any business on whose behalf they are acting.
Acceptance by Payment: Acceptance of an order and completion of the contract takes place upon successful placement of an order and payment. By making a deposit or paying an invoice, the Customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. Payment constitutes “Acceptance by Conduct.”
Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time by posting updates to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.
2. Vehicle Warranty, Modifications, and Factory Features
Manufacturer’s Warranty: Any modification to a vehicle has the potential to void the manufacturer’s warranty. It is the Customer’s absolute responsibility to check their vehicle’s T&Cs before installation. Immobiliser Fit Ltd accepts no liability for voided vehicle warranties.
Software/Firmware Updates & Service Mode: Vehicle software, firmware, or Over-The-Air (OTA) manufacturer updates may fail to complete, produce error messages, or cause system malfunctions if the installed security device is left active during the update process. It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to ensure the security system is placed into Service/Valet Mode prior to initiating or accepting any vehicle software updates. Our warranty does not cover products that function incorrectly following a manufacturer or aftermarket firmware/software update to the vehicle.
Factory Feature Disruption & Remote Pre-Heating: The installation of certain aftermarket security systems, immobilisers, or trackers may alter, disable, or interfere with factory OEM features, including but not limited to factory remote engine start, smartphone app-based climate control/pre-heating, keyless entry behaviors, or automatic start-stop systems. Immobiliser Fit Ltd is not liable for the loss or altered operation of any factory features resulting from security system integration.
Remote Start & Engine Cut-Off Usage: The Customer accepts full responsibility for operating any remote start, engine cut-off, or proximity-based immobilisation features in accordance with UK road laws and safety regulations. Immobiliser Fit Ltd accepts no liability for vehicle rollaway, engine damage, accidents, or third-party claims resulting from improper use or automatic activation of remote features.
3. Supply and Installation Requirements
Vehicle Condition: The Customer must ensure the vehicle is in good working order, possesses a healthy battery, and is free from pre-existing dashboard warning lights or ECU errors.
Pre-Existing Security & Aftermarket Wiring: The Customer must declare any pre-existing aftermarket security, remote start, tracking devices, or non-standard electrical wiring prior to installation. Immobiliser Fit Ltd is not responsible for CAN-bus conflicts, system failures, or additional labor fees required to bypass, trace, or decommission undeclared third-party equipment.
Installation Environment: The Customer must provide a safe, off-street working area (such as a private driveway or secure space) with adequate space, lighting, and reasonable protection from severe weather. If an installation cannot proceed safely due to hazardous conditions, unsafe parking, or lack of access, it will be treated as an engineer forfeiture under Section 4.
Battery Liability: Installation and testing may drain the battery. Immobiliser Fit Ltd is not liable for battery failure. We recommend driving the vehicle for 30–60 minutes immediately after installation to replenish the battery.
Customer Satisfaction: The Customer is required to check the vehicle and confirm that work has been carried out to their satisfaction with no faults found before making final payment.
Subcontracting: We reserve the right to subcontract installation to authorized contractors.
4. Cancellations and Forfeiture
Cancellations or “Forfeitures” (where an engineer arrives but cannot work due to Customer error, un-roadworthy vehicle, hazardous site conditions, or lack of ID) are subject to the following charges:
| Notice Period / Circumstance | Fee (% of Total Order) |
| 7+ days notice | 0% (Full Refund) |
| 24 hours to 7 days notice | 20% Charge |
| Less than 24 hours notice | 25% Charge |
| Engineer in transit / On-site / Forfeiture | 40% Charge |
5. Price, Payment, and Delivery
Payment Platforms: We use the WooCommerce Payments platform; by completing a transaction with us, you are also agreeing to their applicable terms and conditions.
Address Accuracy: We are not responsible for service delays or failures caused by inaccurate location details provided by the Customer.
Debt Collection: Any overdue amounts not paid within 7 days of installation will be passed to a debt collection firm. All chasing costs will be added to the invoice.
Additional Charges: The Customer is liable for all parking fees, bridge tolls, or congestion charges incurred by the installer on the day of installation.
6. Limitation of Liability
Third-Party Goods and Services: Immobiliser Fit Ltd acts solely as an installer/reseller for third-party manufactured hardware, tracking subscriptions, and associated digital services. We accept no liability whatsoever for any failure, downtime, loss of tracking signal, server outage, software bug, cellular network disconnection, or failure of location updates provided by third-party suppliers or hardware manufacturers.
Third-Party Service Enquiries & Response Times: Any outages, server errors, app connectivity issues, or tracking failures must be taken up directly with the third-party service provider or manufacturer. Immobiliser Fit Ltd does not manage or control these external networks. Should any enquiry regarding third-party service outages or server issues be directed to us, please be advised that response times can take up to 24 days, as we must liaise with external networks and suppliers.
Network Infrastructure & Cellular Phase-Outs: Immobiliser Fit Ltd is not responsible for loss of signal, coverage degradation, or service discontinuation resulting from mobile network operator changes, including 2G/3G/4G network phase-outs, mast outages, or roaming carrier updates.
Repair Cap: If Immobiliser Fit Ltd is found at fault for a vehicle defect directly caused by our workmanship, our total liability for repair costs is strictly capped at £100.00 plus VAT (inclusive of recovery).
Third-Party Repairs: We will not be liable for any invoices or costs for repairs authorized by the Customer or a 3rd party without our prior written consent. We must be given the first opportunity to investigate any reported fault with our own engineers.
Consequential Loss: We are not responsible for any vehicle theft, unrecovered vehicles, towing, storage, parking fees, or hire car costs at any time, regardless of whether a third-party tracking or security device failed to operate.
7. Warranty, False Alarms, and Fault Diagnosis
Workmanship: 12-month warranty from date of installation covering installation workmanship only. This is non-transferable and remains valid only for the original purchaser.
AI-Generated Fault Diagnosis & Technical Enquiries: Immobiliser Fit Ltd does not accept, review, or respond to fault reports, technical diagnoses, or troubleshooting claims generated via artificial intelligence (AI) models or automated software provided by the Customer. Due to the high rate of inaccurate, speculative, and misleading information produced by such platforms regarding vehicle CAN-bus architectures and security hardware, all reported issues must be based on observable physical faults. We reserve the right to ignore communications relying solely on AI-generated claims.
False Alerts & Sensitivity Triggers: Aftermarket security systems operate using digital sensors (tilt, motion, shock, voltage drop, or CAN-bus data). External environmental factors—such as heavy weather, passing heavy goods vehicles, low vehicle battery voltage, electromagnetic interference, or improper user arming sequence—may occasionally trigger false alerts or alarm activations. Occasional false triggers do not constitute a product or installation fault. Sensitivity adjustments requested after installation may incur a call-out fee.
Valet / Service Mode: It is the Customer’s absolute responsibility to place the security system into ‘Valet’ or ‘Service’ mode prior to handing the vehicle over to third parties (e.g., main dealers, repair garages, or valeting services) OR prior to accepting any vehicle software/firmware updates. Immobiliser Fit Ltd is not liable for call-out fees, lockout charges, towing fees, update failure errors, or main dealer diagnostic charges incurred because the system was left active during servicing, updates, or maintenance.
User Credentials & Override Codes: The Customer is solely responsible for maintaining records of system PINs, Bluetooth keys, emergency override cards, and login details provided at installation. Immobiliser Fit Ltd does not store private user PIN codes.
Exclusions: Warranty does not cover third-party server/app outages, third-party network disconnections, user forgotten PINs/override codes, Fuses, Relays, dead batteries, water ingress, or unauthorized tampering.
Call-Out Fee: A charge will be applied if an engineer attends a reported fault and the problem is not a direct result of our installation (e.g., user error, forgotten PIN codes, failure to place system in service mode during vehicle update, vehicle battery fault, network/server outage, false alarms due to low vehicle battery, reliance on incorrect AI diagnostics, or third-party hardware failure).
HQ Rule: For faults reported within 14 days, we will attend your location. After 14 days, the vehicle must be brought to our HQ (HP3 9NT) for inspection and repair.
8. Returns, Title, and Intellectual Property
No Refunds: Due to permanent vehicle modifications (wire stripping/cutting), no refunds are offered once the system is installed unless a fault cannot be rectified by us.
De-installation: Authorized “Change of Mind” returns incur a fee of £195–£495 + VAT.
Intellectual Property: All content on our website (text, logos, trademarks) remains the property of Immobiliser Fit Ltd. The Customer agrees not to copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit any material.
Title: Ownership of Goods passes to the Customer only upon delivery AND receipt of payment in full.
Manufacturer & Subscription Clause: If the product manufacturer or third-party service provider ceases trading, discontinues servers, or Immobiliser Fit Ltd ceases to deal with that manufacturer, the Customer is not eligible for a refund. Any ongoing subscription fees required to maintain active tracking or app services are strictly between the Customer and the third-party service provider.
9. Privacy and Governing Law
Privacy: We respect your privacy and comply with UK GDPR regarding the processing of your personal data.
Governing Law: This Contract and any dispute arising from it are governed by the law of England and Wales.
