Returns & Cancellations Policy

At Immobiliser Fit Ltd, we pride ourselves on delivering a professional supply and mobile installation service. Because our business model involves the reservation of specialized engineering time and the physical integration of security hardware into your vehicle, our policy is designed to be fair but firm regarding the recovery of costs.


1. Cancellation Fees and Notice Periods

To manage our engineering schedule and administrative costs, we apply a tiered cancellation structure based on the notice provided:

  • 7+ Days Notice: Full refund issued with no penalty.

  • 24 Hours to 7 Days Notice: A 20% cancellation fee is applied to cover administrative and processing labor.

  • Less than 24 Hours Notice: A 25% cancellation fee is applied.

2. Forfeited Installations and On-Site Cancellations

The most critical stage of our service is the dispatch of the engineer. A 40% fee of the total order value will be charged if:

  • A cancellation is made while the engineer is already in transit to your location.

  • The engineer arrives on-site and the installation cannot proceed due to Customer cancellation.

  • Forfeiture: The installation cannot be completed because the vehicle does not start, has pre-existing dashboard errors, is deemed un-roadworthy, or the Customer cannot provide the required identification/address proof.

3. Returns Policy for Shipped Accessories

For products purchased without an installation service (e.g., spare batteries, fobs, or tags shipped via post):

  • 14-Day Window: Customers have the right to return items within 14 days of receipt.

  • Condition: Items must be returned in original, unopened packaging and in “as new” condition.

  • Costs: Returns are organized and paid for at the Customer’s expense and are subject to a restocking fee for inspection and processing.

4. Returns Policy for Installed Systems

Once a security system has been installed and commissioned, it is considered a personalized service.

  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for “Change of Mind” after the installation is complete.

  • De-installation: If a removal is authorized by management, a de-installation fee between £195 and £495 + VAT will apply.

  • Conditions: A refund will only be processed once every component (security cards, manuals, fobs, batteries) is returned. Any missing or third-party tampered parts will result in the return being rejected.

5. Warranty and Fault Procedure

If you suspect a system fault, you must adhere to the following mandatory procedure:

  • Remote Support: Customers must participate in a phone consultation and provide video footage for technical analysis. Most issues are resolved via this user guidance.

  • On-Site Inspection: We will visit your location if a fault is reported within 14 days of installation.

  • HQ Rule: For any faults reported after the 14-day window, you are required to bring the vehicle to our facility in Hemel Hempstead (HP3 9NT) for inspection.

  • Non-Product Faults: If an investigation reveals the issue is caused by a flat vehicle battery, user error, or a pre-existing vehicle fault, a call-out and diagnosis charge will apply.
