How To Pair A New Phone

Switch on the ignition.
Disarm the system using the existing code or tag/smartphone and receive tone.
Press any button on the Starline network 7 times.
Cycle ignition off and on.
7x bleeps will follow, confirming Bluetooth discovery is enabled.
Open the Starline Key app and start searching.
Select Starline i96 CAN and enter code ‘000000’.
No connection will display on the device, but you will receive a single bleep.
To pair additional phones/tags, repeat steps 6, 7 & 8 one at a time.
Once all phones/tags have been paired, turn the ignition off.
A corresponding number of bleeps will confirm how many devices have been paired.
Turn on the ignition, the system will disarm, and a single device will show as connected.

How To Enter The Emergency Disarm Code

Take note of the 4-digit override code unique to your device.(e.g.3241)

- - Switch on the ignition.
  - Press any button on the Starline network the number of times corresponding to the first digit of the code. (e.g.3)
  - Pause for 1 second.
  - Repeat, press any button on the Starline network the number of times corresponding to the second digit of the code. (e.g.2)
  - Pause for 1 second.
  - Repeat, press any button on the Starline network the number of times corresponding to the third digit of the code. (e.g.4)
  - Pause for 1 second.
  - Repeat, press any button on the Starline network the number of times corresponding to the fourth digit of the code. (e.g.1)
  - 3 short bleeps will follow if correct. The system is now disarmed and ready to learn a new code.
  - Now follow the How To Change Your Disarm Code from step 3.

How To Change Your Disarm Code

Switch on the ignition.
Disarm the system using the existing code or tag/smartphone and receive tone.
Press any button on the Starline network 5 times.
Cycle ignition off and on.
5x bleeps will follow, confirming the entry in the code change mode.
Enter the new code using the standard buttons.
3 seconds after the end of the new code entry, 2 bleeps will follow.
Enter the new code again using the standard buttons.
If the code matches, 2 bleeps will follow. Otherwise, a long bleep will be heard, repeat items 6,7 & 8.
Switch off ignition.
After 30 seconds… test the new code.

How To Activate/Deactivate Service Mode

To Activate

Switch on the ignition.
Disarm the system using the existing code or tag/smartphone and receive tone.
Press any button on the Starline network 11 times.
Switch ignition off and on.
2x bleeps will follow, confirming entry into Valet/Service Mode

To Deactivate

Switch on the ignition.
Disarm the system using the unique code and hold the last button.
Once you receive 1 flash, release the button.
Immobiliser mode is now activated

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Service Mode & How Does It Work

Service Mode allows The Starline i96 to be turned off for an indefinite amount of time for when the vehicle is taken to a garage for servicing or maintenance. This is done in one of 3 ways.

with the mobile app
optional Bluetooth tag
or using your unique push sequence.

Service/valet mode means there is no need to share your unique PIN code with the mechanic or garage. The vehicle will be able to start up and move as if there was no immobiliser installed.

What If I Forget My Code Or A Button Is Broken

If you have forget your PIN code or one of the buttons in your PIN code becomes unstable/inoperative. Each Starline i96 is created with its own unique 4-digit override code. Similar to a card pin. So long as you have access to this unique code, the system can be disarmed, and a new code can be set, Tag/Phone can be paired.

Can Someone Relay Attack My Bluetooth Device to Disarm the Starline i96?

StarLine does not use the hack-able dynamic encryption (rolling / hopping / Keeloq code) used in OEM vehicle security systems and a large percentage of generic aftermarket alarm systems. These use dialogue encryption that is 100% hack-proof!

What Upgrades Are Available For The Starline i96?

The Starline i96 can be upgradeded in many different ways.

Pro Immobilsation – offers superior protection for your vehicle, providing immobilisation against the latest methods of theft.
Call Alert – Adds the facility to recieve a phone call alert when an attempted theft is underway, giving you time to react
Anti Hijack – This facility monitors vehicle speed, motion and driver presence. If the driver is hijacked whilst driving, this system automatically activates an anti-hijack timer. This looks for an authorization, whether that be a Bluetooth phone, tag or unique push sequence. If none of these are done before the timer finished. The system will bring the vehicle to a safe stop and will not allow a restart.

Can A Phone Be Paired To The Starline i96 Immobiliser

Yes, the Starline i96 has the capability to securely connect to up to 5 devices. This can be a combination of encrypted Bluetooth tags and mobile phones. All of this can be setup with an adjustable Bluetooth range. This means the system will only disarm when the Bluetooth device is within the vehicle. Nothing else on the market can offer this. These Bluetooth devices also make it extremely simple to place the system in and out of service mode with a simple press and hold.

Can I Choose My Own Code

The push sequence can be changed as many times as you want. Using factory buttons on the vehicle, A combination between 3-21 individual presses can be selected.
